Videocon, the consumer electronics company has launched its new Android tablet, VT75C in India. The new product is a tablet and smartphone hybrid aka foneblet that comes with 3G connectivity and voice calling support at a price tag of just under the Rs.6,500 mark.

The company has employed an aggressive marketing strategy in India, having already launched a couple of entry-level Android smartphones and one 25-cm (10-inch) Android tablet.

The new Videocon tablet sports a 17.7-cm (7-inch) high resolution display and runs Androids newest 4.1 operating system aka Jelly Bean. The slate is powered by a 1 GHz processor, coupled with 512 MB RAM and is fitted with a 2 MP rear camera plus a VGA front-facing shooter suitable for video calling. In terms of connectivity, the tablet offers 2G voice calling support and 3G data via external dongle.
